The bees will reduce in size as fall moves in.This is a good sign thatyou should have young bees for the winter cluster.
Just be sure there are plenty of stores in the hive at the end of September.
If there is any fall flow,the bees should backfill the brood nest with nectar so the queen won't be able to lay.

Thanx. That's good news. Both my hives are new packages and did extremely well. Between the 2 of them I got over 200 lb of honey. There is still a lot of alf alfa in bloom and I will also feed them sugar syrup in a week or so.Sure don't want to lose them as they are the best bees I've ever had.
