api var life treatment

I currently use screened bottom boards. I have (I think) a light infestation in the first hive I checked: 6 mites/190 sample. For treating with api var, should I slide the bottom board in when treating? The directions on the package make no mention either way.

Yes, you should close the screened bottom board when treating. I'm surprised the instructions don't say as much.
