ID needed for wasp nest

Which wasp made this nest? I know that most of the time, there is no need to worry. But I want to make sure what this is, and how aggressive they can be. It's right next to the shed, which only gets visited a couple times a week. I cut the grass there, but otherwise, not much human activity. Would you just leave it alone, or get rid of it somehow?

Either bald-faced hornets or the sort of yellowjackets which make aerial nests.

In either case, it looks as if it's high enough to be out of the way, thus not a problem.

If so, you can leave it be until the colony dies, most likely by November or December. At that time you can either remove the nest or leave it be. In the latter instance, the nest will gradually disintegrate.

Thanks for your help jean. I'll leave them be then.
