I went down to the hives and collected some frames that I thought were all honey. Now Ive realized that all the pollen Ive seen them hauling in was contained partially in these frames. Is there a procedure that can be used to harvest pollen from wax foundation?
Likely will be returning the pollen cells to them either now or throughout the winter.
They are currently frozen, part of my method for uncapping. I don't believe it will effect the usability of the pollen by the bees.
Should I expect trouble extracting if I leave the pollen cells capped and pilfer the honey cells?
