It's quite possible that they have found something else in great abundance to forage on. Usually this time of year goldenrod is coming into bloom. They like to work one thing at a time, so if they've found something they like, they are probably interested in that rather than your garden.

The only time they take a break from foraging is when there is nothing to forage. When the weather gets hot and dry and there is little rain, there is also no nectar. Then they sit around at home getting cranky and waiting for the beekeeper to come down to the hive so they can sting him.

The only time I see honeybees in my garden is when there is a dearth in the nectar. Otherwise, I usually only have bumbles.

I appreciate, you explaining what happens when it gets dry. Thats all i can figure, but i been waterin the heck outta Purple Hull Peas, and Butterpeas, i jus aint seen no honeybees, seein a few Bumblebees, but no Honeybees. It sho got dry here, Quick, after a year of Record Rainfall. All i can figure is that they mighta found some blossoms up in trees to hit on, an scurried that way. it TRULY is...a Genuine Mystery, an somewhat of a Concern. Seems way too early, to not be seein a Honeybee, to me. One more sign, of their current plight, is all i can arrive at believin. Wished others had better news.
