seeing bees again

I usually have bumble bees around but very few honey bees around and was so surprised to see all the honey bees flying about on my garlic blooms. I had planted the garlic a couple years ago to keep bugs away from my roses and was thinking of pulling them all out if bees love it they are staying.

    This is good news!
Yes, keep them... I have planted more chives this year, just because bees love them, it seems chives have a fairly long bloom ,.. another
    good thing.

I live in Virginia and haven't seen many honey bees at all for at least the last three years. About three weeks ago I noticed several buzzing about a bed of sedum next to our house. The number have increased greatly the past couple of weeks as the sedum are now coming into bloom. I accidentally hit the bed with a hose and had one of those cartoon bee clouds rise up. It's good to see the bee population hopefully on the rise.
