| Last year I had a hive of italian honeybees inside one of our exterior walls. I could hear them buzzing and squeaking very clearly from the room adjacent to the wall. I called in a local beekeeper, because I wanted to relocate the hive without harming the bees. He said it would be a big, messy, expensive job. We decided I would just let them be, and sure enough, they moved out a few months later.
Now, over a year later, they are back, buzzing around their old entry above the front door. (They never pester us, even when I work out front.) But, I don't hear them at all in the walls this time.
What do you think is happening? |

Usually they die out due to diseases, here up north also due to cold temp.
Wherever you had bees in the wall, honey comb and wax will attract other bees, it's just a madder of time.
In order to get rid of them, a total removal is needed, take out honey and comb, perhaps spray the area with some bee repellant and totally seal any holes.
