garden help

I have looked a bit online for the answer to: Is Neem oil safe to apply on a vegetable garden next to a hive? and have a variety of contradicting data.
My tomatoes and squash are getting nailed by 'pillars/larvae and the thuricide (Bt) is not seeming to keep up. If you could provide advice I would be much obliged. I have gardened a number of years, but this is year one with a hive

Capt.,
Neem oil's active ingredient is azadiractin, which interferes with the pupal development of insects. I just checked with my husband the beekeeper, and he said that if you use it at all, use it when the bees are not active (early am or late pm) and not on anything that the bees might be collecting pollen from. We don't use it, and we have two hives right now.
Perhaps there is something else you could use that wouldn't endanger your bees.
