identification

i have started rearing honeybees. On recent inspction of the hive i saw a number of ticks/mites in the hive.I have the photographs of the insects. where should i send the photographs for identification,could any one tell me if these insects are harmful for the bees or not, and the remedial measures if any needed.

Your local beekeepers association (you are a member I assume) can get you in touch either with a member that can help or the state apiarist.

Another quick check would be to google small hive beetles, and varroa mites, and see if either of those are what you saw. They are the two of the biggest problems you might find in a hive
