And where was it conclusive that a virus causes CCD? The only releases I've seen clearly deny any cause and effect relationship has been proven.

There seems to be more questions than answers, and every time a possibility is mentioned like IAPV or Australian bees, it doesn't quite pan out. I think we'll have to wait and see. At least there is research being done to try and find an answer

Well, fat lot of good the research is doing. I'm absolutely astonished that this doesn't get more national attention. Global warming nothing; this seems far more immediate. Guess beelover was full of it.

Do the bees use that to help prevent illness?

i think it would be interesting to see how the research is being conducted and exactly what they're doing. for instance, it seems like if they were to use a big greenhouse/conservatory and monitor the bees, they might be able to find out what's happening to the ones not returning to the hive? no one seems to know if they're just not returning or if it's because they're actually dying.

i'm sure most conservatories are too small to really be able to do this, though... but it was just a thought i had.

of course, i also know jack about bees! :)
