Snow on the hive

| Hi,
I'm new to beekeeping this year. We had our first snow last night. There's snow on the lip of my hive covering the entrance. Do I need to remove this snow? I don't have any other holes in the hive and am worried the bees won't have enough air since they seal all the cracks.
Thanks,
Linda |

| Linda, You can remove it for your own peace of mind but it's not at all necessary. There will still be plenty of air even when they are buried in a foot of snow. Tony |

| Thanks so much. I'll leave it since it's snowing again today and this is only December! |
