I have selected 4 photos about the war between the bees and the little pirates called wasps.
In the first photo, a gropu of bee soldiers are around the entrance to receive the bees with pollen, because wasps are hungry.
In second one, you can see a fast wasp striking the entrance.
In the third, bees capture a wasp, like the Japanese bees with the hornest, killing "making a ball".
In the fourth, the wasp is dead, but has killed a bee.

RE: the bee-wasp battle.

Hello Merops

Thank you for showing! It's my first year bee keeping and I had allot of wasp on my weaker hives, [hived swarms] they seamed to go in and out without any battle.
I have reduced the entrance, but still, they where able to go in, have yet to see a battle like yours!

RE: the bee-wasp battle.

Is it your first year in the beekeeping fraternity? Welcome to this wonderful world, and good chance (feeding bees and fighting against varroa).
I have another secuence of the battle. In the following slideshow, a wasp take away from the field of battle another wasp (canibal). In the second photo, a bee that is rising the abdomen has just been stung by a wasp. The third photo shows the bee dying and another bee fighting with a wasp that wanted to eat the dying bee. Finally, a pair of wasp, totally hungry, are eating the unlucky bee, a wasp eating the body, the other one, the head.
