moving bees within the yard

Aloha, Just retreived a swarm and because the house they were taken from is close to mine I moved the box 8 miles away for three nights then down to my land last night. So far they have only been in this spot less than 24 hours and have decided that it is not a good spot and want to move them about 150 feet to the left. Is it possible to do this without having to do the more that 3 mile move thinking that they might not be as established. Would like to move them tonight. Thank you Leo

Move the hive to the new location. Place some branches in front of they entrance so they have to navigate past them to leave the hive. They will realize something has changed and re-orient themselves. There will be some bees that may still fly to the previous sight for a day or two but should be okay after that
