While checking out our swamp cooler this summer, I noticed little black wasps flying in ant out of a small opening between our wood siding. They were not agressive towards me, just going about their business while I watched them. I don't remember seeing any hair on them. they were shiny, black, slender and small. Any ideas on what they are and if they are doing any damage to the inside of my walls? I've not noticed any in the house. I tried caulking to keep them out but they found a little opening and went about their business again. If they don't hurt anything I'll leave them alone as they are rather cute.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks!

| I had a similar situation except my little wasps were borrowed into a particularly thick stand of monkey grass. They had actually made a lined tunnel into the monkey grass. They were not the slightest aggressive as my grandson and I sat by the hole and watched them come and go. My wasps looked like small yellow jackets. I never did find out what they were. |
