I am looking for a hive of stingless bees, even if your part of research i would like to be involved. I am a bee keeper since i was ten,but last 12 years the city outlawed bee keeping. so im looking for alternative honey source

    Here's some info from wikipedia
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stingless_bee

Because these are tropical bees, I don't know if your region can support their survival. I suggest you locate a locate a university bee specialist to ask re their requirements and more.

A local govt Bee keeping official said they will survive fine in temperate climates, and are currently exported to Japan for pollination in Greenhouses, If you can find out more info i am willing to locate a few hives and ship them. I know australia sells hives online for $340 to $450 plus shipping, I think a Thai bee farmer i know who has fifty hives would be willing to sell one if you will pay for it and we will make sure its a well developed hive but i dont know about the laws and regs, so find that info out. The variety we have most of it Trigona pagdeni, little black ones and the bite is painless and less then any ant pincher, if you wear white when you harvets and a white beekeeper hat you are fine. I dont use anything but singlasses as they tend to go in any dark spot like nose eyes and ears, and the get stuck in your hair and so the hat help both them and use, A rain coat and a water mister also help prevent them from biting and sticking to yur clothes as they die when you wipe them off as the head stick and body separates, Let me know what we can do cause i want to get these bees to virginia and ry them in a greenhouse.
    Thanks,
