 o
question about hole boring bees

I have bees that have bored holes in my window trim. Are these orchard bees? I want to discourage them doing this by putting up a box and plugging the existing holes. They use the same place every year and soil my window. A new hole was put in this year. If there is a new hole every year I won't have any trim left and won't be able to see out the window.
Are there larva in the holes now? Can I make a box drilled with holes and place it nearby?
thanks for any information

if the hole is about 3/8" or 1/2" they would be carpenter bees. They bore into unpainted wood and lay an egg.
