Eastern sources for mason bees

I'm looking to see what changes I may make to increase the fruit set on my plums, and as I have not seen any pollinators around during plum bloom time (though my potted loquat tree attracted dozens of honeybees within an hour of setting it out in late December), I'd like to introduce some mason bees. As I'd like to improve the pollination starting this spring, I'd need to start with some cocoons ready to go, and as I understand it, bees proven in the Eastern U.S. would be preferable to the Western bees that are generally available. Any Eastern sources recommended for mason bees?

For Eastern bees I would highly recommend to contact "Our Native Bees" in McLean Virginia. http://www.ournativebees.com/main/contact-us |

| Are the Eastern bees OK for North Texas or is there a better closer source for Texas? |

I just bought the last of one lady's hornfaced bees and tonight I asked her if she would be selling them again next year. I'll let you know if she plans to sell them again next year. I believe she lives in Penn. Dan |

I heard from the lady this morning and she will have bees for sale next year, although I do not know how many. She did say I would be at the top of her list and she would send mine out in January. I should have asked her if she also sells nucs, since she mentioned raising honeybees. Dan |
