It's some kind of cane begonia but I can't really figure out which cultivar. Not shown, but I think it has pink flowers, based on the ones around it at the garden center.

I basically know nothing about begonias, I just thought this looked interesting.

It looks like there's something interesting going on near the soil level though I'm not sure what. Some of the nearby begonias, which I assume were the same cultivar, were forming decidedly woody-looking trunks.
