Hi All

I have a mini angelwing begonia that i have had for about a year now, i have had it inside the house and found that it wasnt happy so i moved it outside, and its been outside for about 6 months out of the year that ive had it, and even though it has put out lots of leaves it has never flowered for me. So is there a secret to getting it to flower????

Thanks

Nixielea

RE: what the secret to getting mini angelwing begonias to flower

In general, angel wing (cane) begonias have a wide range of behavior when it comes to blooming. Some are pretty much always in bloom with even minimal care (since you're from Texas I'll mention B. Texas Teasipper as one you couldn't stop blooming with a baseball bat) and some almost never bloom. As with most begonias, they don't like wet feet or too-dry conditions, they like to be fed lightly with some regularity, and cane begonias especially like some sun to bloom.
