What kind??

Had this for about 6 months..and would you believe it has finally got a bloom in the winter??

hello,

this looks like Begonia bowerae or one of its many cultivars. many rhizomatous begonias are late winter-spring bloomers. it's a very nice easy begonia. yours looks like a beaut!

thanks...I think that is it! Can you root from cuttings..or how do you make more??

it's very easy to root this one--try taking a leaf from it and rooting it, african violet style, in loose substrate. i'd leave an inch of the leaf stem. you can also take a section of the rhizome and root that as well. some people like to take a leaf with a long section of the leaf stem and root in water. this works for me sometimes, but can result in rot sometimes.
