The website www.begonias.ca of our northern neighbor
begonia-growing friends has an interesting recommendation-
which is:

Bigger root systems promote more and bigger flowers-so
while there are several ways to get bigger root systems-including the one where you transplant from bigger to
bigger to bigger pots as the begonia root systems grow and become potbound, one method which was suggested was to

now listenup

put a 2 inch tuber in a 14 inch !!!!!!!!! pot and lo
and behold, you develop a homonga-root system.

ANYBODY HAD THE COURAGE TO TRY THIS?

If so, did it work?

Thanks much.

I don't like to do this because the soil stays too soggy in the begning. I usually plant up to larger ports. I usually keep my tuberous begonias in 8 or 10" pots.
