How long can a tuber not to plant?

A friend bought 50 Begonia and 50 Dahlia. But suddenly found out he'll need to move between July and September, can he not to plant them? And, if it is OK, how to keep them?

My uneducated reply is that these have been dormant since Oct./Nov.?? They may begin to dessicate and wither. Try this site.

I am not familiar with your zone so I will stop here.

Here is a link that might be useful: Mike Stevens Begonia pages

It'd be a lot of work, especially the moving part, but he could pot them all and enjoy them now, and then move them in the pots. If they aren't planted they will dessicate--shrivel up and die. Sorry, and good luck!
