Canadian source of cane begonias?

Hi everyone!
I am looking for cane and shrub begonias, but could not find where to buy them in Canada.
Are there people from Canada, who could share/sell cuttings?
You can email me mburova11@yahoo.ca
Thanks!

Hi Mari11, I too have been searching for a Canadian source for cane begonia. I know that last year I saw some angel wing begonia at Swain's greenhouses on Hwy 3 between London and Windsor. I was thinking of heading that way this summer and could let you know. I also have one compact cane begonia myself--unnamed but from trying to research it, I think it is B. Torch. I bought it about 4 years ago in London and have overwintered it inside. This winter, I almost lost it due to powdery mildew. But after chopping it back to almost nothing, it is recovering. If it gets big enough this summer, I could take a cutting for you. (Right now it is only one stem with 4 leaves, but very healthy and once I put it outside for the summer, it should flourish again.) Have you had any other response? Have you tried the Canadian Gardening exchange? |

Hi,Patty_3411 ! I am ordering some begonias from Patrick Studio, but there's only one cane.I could not find any nursery having any collection of canes. Some have 1-2 only. I have now only B.Lucerna. I can exchange it with you, if you're interested. When I have more plants for exchange, I will post to exchange forum and, hopefully, make my collection |
