SHould I repot my can begonia?

This cane begonia is 4 ft. tall with 3 stems which have only a few leaves on them. Seems fairly healthy but it has not flowered. I have had it for a year.
It is in a rather large container which is 1 ft. wide.
Will it do, if any, good to put it in a smaller pot?
Anything I can do to make it bloom/grow more leaves?
Thank you for any help!

I wouldn't repot, but I certainly would prune those canes down, hard!
