Overcrowded Dragon Wing ...thin???

Gifted with a new to me Dragon Wing (bushel size plant), in a hanging pot. While checking moisture, I noted that the multi stems are packed like a bamboo grove!

Can, or should, I remove half of these? It really appears too dense/unnatural/supersized to me. I have no semi-shade site to plant this outdoors.

Would you repot to a larger container? Should it be divided? Any special soil mix?

All of the above. However,if it looks attractive and healthy, why not enjoy it for a few weeks more? It has likely been underpotted for quite a while, and handling it well. If it were mine I think I would put off the surgery for a few weeks more. shouldn't need any special soil mix.
