White powdery substance on leaves and stems.

I have 2 begonias just given to me, the newer leaves and stems have a white powdery substance coating them. Any idea what this is?

Probably mildew. Someone who's not posting here anymore, and I miss, used to recommend keeping a can of Lysol handy and spraying with that. Besides that, you can increase air circulation and possibly give them brighter light. Hope that helps! Of course there are other fungicides--
