Avoiding self-pollination

Does anyone remove anthers, or use another method, to avoid self-pollination when crossing Begonias? I'm worried that among complex hybrids like rexes, I wouldn't know if a seedling was a selfing or actual cross between two of them.

Try this site for some good advice.

Brad's World

I let nature do its thing on pollination and then try growing a few from seed. One thing is crossing begonias, another is growing them from seed. Begonias seem to take a lot of patience growing from seed.

Here are a few canes I sowed this winter. This picture was from yesterday so they've grown maybe 2 inches in six months.
