What is causing my beautiful begonia to rot at the edge of the pot. At any pressure point, the stem just rots into. I went from a huge plant to a nothing. Also, how do I root one. I have rooted many others from pieces of stem, but not this one???

RE: rotting begonia

Typically from water logged soils and soils which are overwatered. Use a well draining mixture and water only when the mixture is dry 1" below surface. Begonias are remarkably hardy. This is reason they seldom do well in mixed plantings with very water demanding species.
