My Rex begonias new growth turns crispy brown and falls off.I keep them in a rather humid environment,so don't think it is some kind of mite.Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi & welcome to Gardenweb!

Roots too soggy? Would you like to add a pic?

    Are they indoors or outside?

just checked mine - exactly the same thing happened!
mine is indoors, was growing nicely for sev weeks.
I think it's because it dried up: the surface felt damp to touch, so I did not water. but then I decided to uppot it and found out that root ball was dry.
so I think it dried up , 'cause I did not water deep enough, just the surface.
that was 2 days ago. today new tiny growing leaves all dropped off (they were brownish already 2 days ago).
i uppotted it and put it on a wick like African violet, so it won't be drying up again.
