| Eyelash begonia is a common synonym for bowerae species and hybrids (that is my take on the subject). 'Shamus' probably has some bowerae in it and has "eyelashes" along its leaf edges, but the more definitive eyelash begonia is more like 'Tiger Kitten' or 'Kit Kat'. Think of cane begonias and its synonym of "angel wing" or as some people misspell it "ANGLE wing". So 'Lucerna' and 'Irene Nuss' are examples of cane or angel wing begonias, but neither is named solely begonia 'angel wing'. Look at this site for some good "eyelash" begonias. Some have eyelashes, some are rexes. |
