Double Begonia is a houseplant

I am considering a double begonia as a houseplant. It would be by a window with plenty of light and about an hour of direct sun through low E glass. Would it prosper there and bloom most of the year or would it retain it's outdoor blooming period which I think is only a couple of months?

I have had a regular begonia at the same indoor location for about 3 years which did very nicely and bloomed year round (tiny pink blooms). It finally died off due to lack of attention or old age, not sure which.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I grew a double begonia in a sunny window last winter and it did great and bloomed also.

My begonia bloomed off and on all winter and summer too(I put it outside in shade) It's just started blooming again after a months rest during hot weather. It bloomed more during the winter.

The one i already had was pink and i've bought a red one this year.
