Angel Wing Begonia Damaged by Cats

Hi there!
I have acquired a beautiful Angel Wing cane Begonia; it seems to be thriving, has produced a new leaf and is trying to bloom, which is very exciting. Before I was given this beauty, a cat had bitten around two of the already very well-established leaves. The leaves are in good shape, but have brittle, white spots around them where they were damaged. For aesthetic's sake, I would like to remove these two leaves, which would leave the blooming Begonia with two additional, totally healthy/undamaged leaves.
1. Is this OK?
2. Is there anything special that I should do when removing the leaves? Is it OK to simply break them off?

I greatly appreciate the response, I'm very new to the Begonia world, but I must say, I'm certainly obsessed.

Thanks, everyone!
