| I just got a dragon wing begonia for free from my local garden store. I love they way it looks but have no idea how to care for it. I wanted to know if it is a perrenial. I live in North Dakota so I need to know if i can plant it outside. If I do so will it die when winter comes? Or do I have to bring it inside for the winter to keep it alive? |

| B. 'Dragon Wings' is a tender perennial. You must bring it inside for winter to keep it. You can plant it in the ground during warm weather though. It is easy to propagate from stem cuttings if you want to increase the number of plants. For winter care, keep it warm, provide light either by a window or under fluorescent lights, and water when it needs it (i.e. don't keep it constantly wet). They have become so available and cheap that you can treat them as annuals if you prefer. A six pack is often less than a dollar a plant. |

This plant is considered an annual, yes ? How can it best survive inside over the Winter ? Does it 'seed out' ? There is plenty of sun from East & West windows on my 3rd floor. Please advise how best to keep this thing alive ! Sara |

| It can be kept indoors but provide bright light if you can for best results. It is a sterile hybrid so no seed will set (or should set). Water when the soil dries out a bit. Do not keep it soaking wet! |
