Beautiful begonia, and more and better bloom than I usually get on rhizomatous begonias! Sorry I don't recognize it. Have you tried the website of the American Begonia Society, and the Houston Astro Branch linked to it? They have lots and lots of begonia pictures (but I haven't been able to identify a couple of mine I'm sure must be on there!) Hate getting them without names. If you find it, would you post back please?

I'm going to try. Thanks. I think it's a rhizomatous begonia, but native of New-Caledonia. Difficult to recognize because the New-Caledonia flore has an unusual diversity. Thanks for your reply and sorry for my english. I'm french.

Your English is at least 100% better than my French! No problem to understand at all.

I should have said, yes, it is rhizomatous. I spent quite a (lovely) time last night on the begonia society website and at HiMark's site looking at dark-leaved rhizomatous begonias but couldn't find yours. Quite a few descriptions without pictures it could have been too. It would be easier for you I think since you would know things like leaf size for the begonia key at the ABS site. Good luck! Sure is pretty.

So many thanks for research. I'll continue mine and tell you the name if I find. But in fact, I have no choice, I have to find.I'm the webmaster of a french house plants site and I have to reply to my correspondents. Thanks
Marc.

Greetings Marc, your begonia looks a lot like 'Joe Hayden' to me. I have 'Joe Hayden' and it does bloom very profusely.

Thank you for answer. It is true that your begonia Joe Hayden looks like mine a little but what is the color of flowers ? And are the floral poles are pink and largely exceed foliage?
