acontifolia in water

Has anyone rooted B.acontifolia in water? I bought three cuttings trough the mail and they were wilted badly when I received them. I recut the stem and put them in a jar of water and they have perked up. Can I just leave them in the water to root or will this type rot? Anita

OK, I left them in the water and today I see a tiny (quarter inch) root on one. The foliage looks like heck though. Anita

How are they now? Most canes root fairly quick in water.

Thanks for asking. Two have enough roots to plant, but the woodiest is being stubborn, one little root. They are all showing new growth after loosing most of the leaves. Anita

I would go ahead and put them in soil now.
