I'm not absolutely sure! It looks like the beefsteak begonia I remember. Though it has been a number of years since I've seen one (About 30 of them, but I'm not counting) I've been trying to locate one myself for the longest time, but haven't seen them around at all. I'm sure you'll get and ID shortly as we have many folks in the know here. Very nice plant BTW!!!
Thanks very much! It was given to me by someone who grew it under lights, under which conditions it became huge! I just haven't seen her for a while and couldn't remember the name of the plant. Maureen
I have beefsteak that is very happy and has given me a great show of blooms this winter. I'm not at my computer or I'd post a picture. Mine is more compact, you don't see so much stem. I grow it outside in high light conditions but the leaves look the same.
