Hi All, I have some begonias the dragon wings and others. Now that summer is over they have become ugly and leggy. Does any one know what to do?
Do I just cut them back and hope they come back alright, or do I fertlize them after cutting back?
TIA,
Linda

RE: leggy

They could probably use a little light fertilizer. Cutting them back is always a good idea when they get leggy, but be careful to cut them to an outward-facing bud or you'll get a crossed-up mess. If new growth is starting at the base you can cut them all the way back--and you can root the cuttings.

Flowergirl, I had the exact same question. My dragonwings are blooming well, but they have grown so big they are falling on the ground too much.

I wonder, if I take cuttings, do they have to be hardened off before replanting (like succulents), or can they be planted right away?
