Fiberous Begonia cutting... help!

Hello all,
I received a small piece in trade and got it to start a new leaf, it's really small, but the cutting it's attached to is turning brown... what should I do?? Is it too late?? I provided it with a humid environment and it took... as soon as that happened I took it out of the humid environment, should I put it back?? Any help would be great... I've never tried begonias before...

Definitely return it to a humid environment if it is really small or shows stress. When it gets to a healthy size, start introducing it to the drier conditions in increments.

Good luck
