Will begonias work for me?

I live in North Dakota and have a southern facing front porch that I would like to plant begonias for the summer. I would like to start the Illumination Series begonias by seed in January. My question is, how much heat can they tollerate? Even though I live in ND, it will stay consistantly above 85 degrees in the summer, many times it is hotter on our porch. They will be on automatic watering twice a day.

I just don't want to get a bunch of plants going only to not have them bloom because of the heat. My fusia didn't bloom last year when it got hot.

I'm not familiar with the Illumination Series specifically, but generally I think tuberous begonias need to cool off at night. Maybe even prefer lower humidity in the daytime. I grew tuberous begonias when I lived on the West Coast, where they have both those conditions, but never tried them when I lived in Nebraska (grew quite a few other begonias tho') and tried a few that were supposed to be more tolerant of heat and humidity here in south Louisiana, where I found they didn't like as much as we have anyway. But there are many, many others-----! Of course, it is sometimes an advantage to have them dormant in the winter!
