Plants for a bog garden

This spring I'm planning to start a bog garden in a wet area of my property. I would like any suggestions for plant selection. Area is in full sun (southern exposer)zone 5, open field area where rain creates a stream. I want to slow the run off.

I have a beautiful thriving bog plant that someone told me is "Dill Weed"...large flat leaves...Cat tail like stalk blooms that are covered in light purple. Do you know the real name of this...I can send a picture
