I made....something...now what?

I hope I might receive some suggestions and I think this is where I should ask.

I should do a little explaining.
I have a grand vegetable garden. To water my garden I built a sprinkler that spins a circle above and delivers water in a beautiful fashion to all my plants.
Now when I erected this sprinkler/water feature I had to secure it with 2x4s and such and in the very center under the head or circle I have made a window box like thing.

Now, the question is. What would you suggest I plant in this container. It is 2 feet long and 5-6 inches deep. It sits right under the sprinkler so it gets the most water, and the plant would be watered from over head, gently.

I don't know if this would be classifed as a bog situation as I did put drainage holes in my bottom, it's just going to get watered everyday.

I love the idea of something cascading down and flowering, or perhaps some type of herb since it is in the veggie garden.

Thank you and I look forward to you're comments.

Okay, here are two off-the-wall suggestions, as I see you live in a warmer spot than I do. How about Rau Om (Limnophila aromatica), the taste is a little odd, but it's an interesting plant for moist places and will be a good cascading herb. Or samphire (Crithium maritimum...I think), I've heard it called 'sea fennel', grows best with some moisture but fairly sharp drainage (think rocky sea coast). I like it's taste and it's yummy as is or pickled. Of the two, I like samphire the best. I got some years ago from Richter's, but you may find them elsewhere or in trade.

Have fun!

Hi I thank you for you're imput. I decided to try cranberries in this spot. If it works that would be great and if not oh well. I am right on the zonal border of almost being too hot for them to do well, but nothing ventured nothing gained. We shall see.

Thanks again.
