too early?

Well, I assume I am too anxious to get my little newly purchased papyrus and saracenias outside, in new york city? They are in 2" pots, sitting in Poland Spring water, in my window. The temps have gotten up to 60's in day (it's 69F now, at 7 pm!) with lows of 50. The tips of the papyrus are just turning brown. Not that I'm looking forward to NYC humidity, but I want them to be happy, and acc to Logee's catalog, they should grow to 5-6 feet (from their little 2" pot status now). Any suggestions about how warm it needs to be to go outside?

Your lows are only in the 50s??

I have my sarrencias and papyrus outside and the lows
have reached into the high 30s here.

Is your papyrus the regular papyrus that gets 8 feet tall?

When you move them out do it gradually first into a shady
spot and then slowly into less shade until into full sun.
Otherwise they will get sunburn!
