If the pH is right you could try palmetto, cat tails and pitcher plants. Maybe even some cypress, tupelo, and cyrillas.

You can also plant venus fly traps, but make sure the crown is not in standing water. These do well in marshy, acidic soil at the edge of a pond or bog.

Water irises, flag, yellow and blue, and Japanese and Louisiana Irises are good in wet soil. Elephant ears, of course. Canna's like damp to muddy soil. Lobelia, Cardinal flower, daylilies, Pickerel Rush, some hosta's love muddy/wet soil. For shrubs, Itea, Little Henry, loves moist soil.
