 o
Bog liner?

Hello all-

I will be building a BG in SE Wisconsin. I am planning on growing Sarracenia Purpurea (purple pitcher) among other boggy type things. Should I line the BG with a liner or clay? If I use a liner where should I poke holes, and how many? Thanks.

RE: Bog liner?

Use a liner and set it so that only the top 6 inches or so drains. Can either poke holes or have the highest point of the liner a little below the edge of the hole. You want it to hold as much rain water as possible during the summer so that you can keep watering to a minimum, especially if you have hard water (which most tap water is).
