requirements of swamp pink

Hi, I finally bought a swamp pink yesterday at the New England Wildflower Society's plant sale. Does is like the same conditions as pitcher plants or more nutritous soil? I put my pitcher plants and their set-up on theoutside of a naturally wet spot. In the surrounding mucky area I have (so far): blue flag iris, cardinal flower, darmera, maidenhair fern, and skunk cabbage. Would swamp pink be happy there too?

Thank you!

RE: requirements of swamp pink

I know this post has been hanging around for a bit, however, I was visiting a friend the other day who has Swamp pink and He grows them in a shady garden on the north side of his greenhouse. The soil is fairly rich and stays rather moist but not overly wet. He had seed on one of the plants and is going to collect and try to germinate it.

Hope this isn't too late to help

Fred
