appropriate containers for a mini-bog?

hi all,
well, for some reason a galvanized steel wash tub showed up at the side of my house, presumably as a gift from someone. well, now i have two since i had picked one up the day before.
i was wondering if i could make this into a sort of mini-bog? whether or not the galvanized material would have adverse affect on any plants/fish? i'd primarily like to float some sarracenia in it and keep mosquito fish to cut down on bugs. it would be in the shade since it's rather shallow and i don't want to boil anything in the sun!

Sarracenia need mostly full sun, and only S. purpurea is more or less aquatic, the rest are terrestrial but liking wet feet. You'll need to line the galvanized tubs as the acid substrate needed by the Sarrs. would certainly corrode the metal (even galvanized).

A real bog doesn't have standing water. It has nice wet mud made out of whatever soil composition you choose so you can't put fish in it and it won't grow mosquitos.
