i have a container bog in my garden. i planted cranberries, purple pitcher plants, and spiranthus. all of the plants are doing well except the sprianthus. first the leaves turned brown and then the base looked rotted. any advice? i'm guessing it's due to overwatering?

RE: spiranthus

Hi pixelpie,

What species do you have? I have Spiranthes cernua growing in my bog and some has actually spread to pots in the adjacent pond that are constantly below water. Obviously the species I have can take lots of water. I'm not sure if other Spiranthes are as tolerant to having wet feet...
