I have about 4 acres of marsh- have not even walked it year as is has been too wet...
where to start??? what kind of walkways should I make?
Not standing water at this time but gooey black sludge...

You will want first to consider the legal implications of doing this. Florida law is pretty restrictive about any development of a wetland, even if it's on your property. Check this site out to see if you think you're effected. Non-compliance can be very costly.
