I have one of those hard shaped liners that can be used as a "patio" pond. I would like to bury it as an added attraction next to my pond. How do I start from scratch to build a bog pond. I have plent of cattails..what else do I use..I really need beginner instructions. Thanks!

Depends on what you like. Some people really want a wet area for plants that prefer moist sites. Others want to create a "true bog" with just real bog plants that like low organics and high acidity.

I have a "true bog" it has pitcher plants (sarracinia), flytraps (dionea), sundews (drosera), and many native terrestrial orchids.

Zone 7 is ideal for creating a "true bog" many of the native carnivorous plants are in zone 7.
