| What plants do well in very wet areas? I am planting around a patio and when digging holes approximately 8 inches in depth - some fill with water and some don't. I lost some Nandina due to root rot.

| Depends on what type of plant you want to put in. Perennials, shrubs, trees, There are lots of plants that can take wet feet but if you could narrow it down that would be most helpful. |
|
| Preferably evergreen shrubs- something that does not grow too high. I tried heather but that didn't work -I had to pull up some azaleas and nandina because they were drowning. Any advice would be great. |
